We have just cleaned the latest donation to the museum: a 1972 MCS-8 (also known as the SIM8-01).

The MCS8 chassis accepted either an Intel 4004 processor board or an Intel 8008 processor board.

Our unit has the 8008, Intel’s first 8-bit microprocessor – very cool!

It also has a built-in EPROM burner.

We will add more to the wiki later, but for now, here are a few pics:

There is an easter egg for the Apple IIci that shows the Dev Team.

Set the monitor to color and the date to September 20th, 1989. Then boot with Command-Option-C-I.
